Leland Presbyterian Church

All women are invited to attend a new Bible Study beginning September 17th. The Bible Study will run for 7 weeks ending on October 29th. There will be 2 groups that will meet on Mondays - either Noon at the home of Gwin Cumbaa or at 5:30pm (church library). Join us on Wednesday nights at 6pm for fellowship and study. We will provide a light dinner and Mat is leading a study of the 12 apostles. We will study the lives of simple fishermen—Peter, Andrew, James, and John—who changed the world with the good news about Jesus. We will also look at Matthew, the tax collector, Simon the zealot, Thomas the doubter, and Judas, the betrayer. (Please let us know if you will need childcare.)

YOUTH SUNDAY! Come join us this Sunday, September 23rd at 10:30am as our Youth present the morning worship service. As every year, our Youth do a wonderful job!

Baptisms and New Members

November 8 was a most exciting day at Leland Presbyterian Church as we welcomed three new members by baptism and affirmation of faith, one new member by reaffirmation of faith and three children were baptized!

A special welcome to Johna Lack Peyton, Eva Irby Sullivan, Robby and Lauren Sullivan and their children, Kadee, Bailey and Trace.

Nativity Creation

LIF hosted a very special event on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Rev. Ann Jones and Kathy Smith brought all of the supplies and provided expert guidance on the creation of a pottery nativity set for LPC. Once fired and glazed, the set will be proudly displayed at LPC.
