All women are invited to attend a new Bible Study beginning September 17th. The Bible Study will run for 7 weeks ending on October 29th. There will be 2 groups that will meet on Mondays - either Noon at the home of Gwin Cumbaa or at 5:30pm (church library). Join us on Wednesday nights at 6pm for fellowship and study. We will provide a light dinner and Mat is leading a study of the 12 apostles. We will study the lives of simple fishermen—Peter, Andrew, James, and John—who changed the world with the good news about Jesus. We will also look at Matthew, the tax collector, Simon the zealot, Thomas the doubter, and Judas, the betrayer. (Please let us know if you will need childcare.)

The Leland Presbyterian Church provides many opportunities for spiritual growth and service through fellowship for people of all ages. Junior High and Senior High Fellowship groups meet weekly. Youth are active in local fund raisers, retreats, and conferences both at Montreat, N.C. and Camp Hopewell (Oxford, MS). Two women’s circles meet monthly for study and worship. The Men of the Church meet quarterly for the men’s dinner and also try take a trip to south Louisiana each fall for fishing. Perhaps the most essential and energetic group in the Leland Presbyterian Church is the Presbyterian Women. They were the driving force behind its founding nearly a century ago, and have played an indispensable role in the mission of the church ever since. Our church and community are both better places because of their caring and dedication.
